Our Story

Owner Scott Wichman grew up in Fontana-on-Geneva Lake and graduated from Big Foot High School in 1979. In 1981, he moved to Dallas, Texas, where he joined the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Water Ski Team. The following year, he began his career in the roofing industry.

In 1988, Scott founded Advanced Technology Roofing Services in Dallas, specializing in commercial roofing. After a life-changing bicycle accident brought him back home in 1994, he gained a deeper appreciation for the community that he loved. His return inspired a new sense of purpose and a desire to give back. That same year, he founded CENTERPOINT ROOFING & CONSTRUCTION with a simple vision: to provide exceptional roofing services built on honest workmanship, integrity, and genuine customer care.

In 2000, Scott welcomed his son, Christian Wichman, into the world—an addition that would forever change his life. At just 16 years old, Christian began working alongside his father, learning firsthand the values of hard work, integrity, dedication, and entrepreneurship. After years of working together, Christian followed his own passion and, in January 2025, transitioned full-time into his business, WB Motorsports and Diesel Repair, where he continues to build a successful future of his own.

In April of 2026, Scott's brother-in-law, John Winters, joined the CENTERPOINT ROOFING & CONSTRUCTION team, bringing fresh energy, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to serving customers. What began as a one-man operation has grown into a trusted local company known for quality craftsmanship, dependable service, and treating every customer like family.

At CENTERPOINT ROOFING & CONSTRUCTION, we are proud of our roots, grateful for the community that has supported us, and committed to protecting the homes and businesses of our neighbors for generations to come.

Competitive pricing, quick installation and good work.

On 8/21/2026 Tara Fort had this to say:
We can't recommend Scott and his team highly enough! Unfortunately, we've had to replace our roofs three times in the last six years because of severe storm damage, and every single time, Scott has been our first call. From start to finish, he and his team make the entire process as stress-free as possible. Their workmanship is outstanding, communication is excellent, and they consistently go above and beyond to ensure everything is done right. They are professional, honest, reliable, and truly care about their customers. The quality of their work on both our home and garage has been exceptional each time. When you've had to go through multiple roof replacements, you quickly learn the value of working with a contractor you can trust. Scott and his team have earned our confidence time and time again, and we wouldn't consider calling anyone else. If you're looking for a roofing company that delivers quality work and outstanding customer service, look no further. Highly recommend! ~ Don and Tara

On 7/25/2026 Bruce W had this to say:
I called Scott right after the July 3 windstorm, about some roof damage we experienced and a tree on our garage. Scott was at our house an hour after the storm hit and dropped patching materials for his crew. The crew arrived half hour later and had us dried in and the tree off the building in an hour. The entire process was amazing. We've used Centerpoint for 5 years and will ALWAYS call them. Thanks to the whole team!! Testimonial written by Bruce W on this site.

On 7/24/2026 Donna G. Of Cross Creek Custom Homes Inc.(our personal home) had this to say:
After several trees damaged our roof and skylight in tornado winds, Scott and his teams were right there with tarps securing our roof and preventing further rain damage from occuring. They came back within the week and re-roofed the enitre house and replaced the damaged skylight. He had an extra large crew that started early and finished right at lunchtime. They did a complete tear off repapered, added the ice and water sheild cleaned up the debris, all nails and scraps gone and the only sign they were there was a couple of blooming flowers had a bent stem otherwise it was like magic! We actually went and caught a movie and had lunch instead of listening to the work happening and it was done when we got back. Testimonial written by Donna G. After my Google search for a local roofing CO brought up Center point roofing what a relief to get such a quick response. After a sick feeling in my stomach from the bids I got from the other CO's I decided to look local. I am so glad. From the initial inspection to the completed repair Scott and his team were so easy to work with. Quick Clean and a follow up call to make sure I was happy. 5 Stars

FAQ

Can replacing my roof lower my homeowners insurance and increase my home's value?

Yes, updating your roof can lead to both lower insurance premiums and an increase in your home's value. Insurance companies often offer discounts for new roofs made of durable, weather-resistant materials, as they reduce the risk of damage from storms and other events. Additionally, a well-maintained and modern roof can make your home more appealing and valuable to future buyers.

What types of roofing materials do you install?

We install asphalt shingles, standing seam steel, EPDM rubber roofing, cedar shakes, slate roofing, and architectural shingles. We’ll help you choose the best option for your home or business based on durability, aesthetics, and budget.

Are you certified and insured for roofing work in Wisconsin and Illinois?

Yes, we’re fully licensed and insured in Wisconsin and Illinois, and we are proud to be GAF Certified Roofing Contractors. That means we meet the highest industry standards for quality, safety, and training.

What should I do if I think I need my roof replaced?

If you suspect your roof needs replacement, it’s advisable to call a roofing expert first for an assessment before contacting your insurance company. This is because a claim could potentially count against you, and a professional inspection will provide you with a clear understanding of the necessary repairs or replacements, possibly preserving your claims history if the damage doesn't warrant filing a claim.

How fast can you complete a roofing job?

We’ve installed over 3,000 roofs — most completed in just one day. Whether it's a tear-off, re-roof, or new construction, our skilled team delivers quality results quickly and efficiently.
